What distinguishes HI.Lab’s activity, in addition to its close connection with the OMCD Group’s production facilities, is its availability to offer its skills to the outside world in order to face scientific and technological challenges presented by the market.

These characteristics are reflected in the three main activities of HI.Lab:

  •  The guarantee of the metallurgical quality of the products and the development of the production processes of the OMCD Group companies, thanks to a careful and structured integration with these realities.
  •  The service of analysis and characterization of materials and products carried out on behalf of external clients, thanks to the concentration of updated and highly specialized skills and equipment in the field of high hardness and refractory materials.
  •  The study and development of innovative materials and processes, at the service of the inevitable evolution towards the Green Economy, and the contribution to the dissemination of scientific knowledge in journals and conferences.

You can view the list of our services.

The roots of HI.Lab lie in the history of the OMCD Group companies, which have always based the quality of their products and customer service on the continuous development of their know-how and the updating of their skills.

The metallurgical laboratory HI.Lab is located inside FILMS’ plant, in the Verbano Cusio Ossola, in the north west of Italy.
It is just a few kilometres from the Swiss border and is easily accessible from Milan Malpensa airport.
